Some of the most complex projects that our team has tackled are in the field of environmental law, combining knowledge of national legislation, European law, and international conventions. We advise and represent both central public authorities and private companies in environmental law matters and provide legal opinions on controversial issues in national and European Union legislation in this field.

  • Legal assistance to public institutions with responsibilities in the field of environment regarding the issuance of specific administrative acts;
  • Legal advice to companies on legal requirements for environmental protection and obtaining environmental permits;
  • Representation in litigation in the field of environmental law regarding the annulment of administrative acts, as well as obtaining damage compensation;
  • Legal assistance to beneficiaries who have the quality of contracting authorities in Romania, within the meaning of public procurement legislation.
  • Legal assistance and representation of the central public authority in a significant number of administrative and contravention legal proceedings;
  • Legal assistance and representation of a central public authority in connection to the management of a sectoral operational program, including representation before any public authorities, as well as carrying out any formalities or operations necessary to defend its interests, related to its organization, operation, control, jurisdiction or sanction;
  • Legal assistance and representation in connection with contracts, agreements and protocols concluded by a central public authority in carrying out a sectoral operational program. Preparation of reports on the legal aspects and implications of the property regime on goods (built infrastructure, means of transport, equipment, etc.) acquired within the projects implemented based on the Applicant’s Guide for the program totaling EUR 215 million (of which EUR 172 million as an EU grant);
  • Drafting the standard format of the Financing Agreement related to a sectoral program with a total budget of EUR 3.2 million.
  • Drafting the standard format of the Financing Decision for one of the Financing Axes in the field of environment, the value of the financing granted being EUR 107.940.423.
