Răzvan Ioan PĂUNESCU has over 10 years of professional experience as a lawyer and over 25 years in international transactions.
He participated or administered over 500 cases in the Romanian courts, participated in the creation of several nationally and internationally renowned companies and collaborated in promoting mediation as an optimal alternative solution for resolving disputes.
He is the Vice-President of the Center for Mediation Lawyers, since its establishment. Living for much of his life in Italy and studying in Milan, he has collaborated with law firms in Italy and other EU member states. On this occasion he became a member of the Board of Directors of the European Mediation Foundation.
Having furthered his studies in the United States of America, he is a good connoisseur of the North American market and collaborates both with American companies in Romania and with Romanian-American institutions and joint ventures.
He has been a consultant to the largest ongoing investment in Central and Eastern Europe in the last 30 years and has extensive experience in international transactions such as acquisitions, mergers, spin-offs in China and in the Asia-Pacific countries.
He represented UAE – Union des Avocats Europeens as President for Romania and was the President of the Romania-China Chamber of Commerce, being currently the Honorary President of this organization.
He collaborated closely with the ESC – Economic and Social Council, both in Romania and in Brussels, and currently collaborates with the European University Foundation.
